(Des Moines, IA) -- A federal Judge in Des Moines has extended a ruling, allowing school districts to issue mask mandates. The temporary restraining order against a state law, was to end in two weeks, but has now been extended to October 11th. The ruling came after a lawsuit filed by ARC of Iowa and the American Civil Liberties Union. The suit challenges Iowa's law, prohibiting school districts from enacting their own mask mandates.
