Quad Cities' YWCA to use $175K grant to help runaways

(Rock Island, IL) -- The new Quad Cities YWCA facility under construction in Rock Island is getting a $175,000 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services Basic Center Program.

YWCA says the money will be used for community-based programs that help runaway and homeless youth.

The $9 million, 38,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Quad Cities YWCA facility will feature a new child classrooms, a steam lab, a full gymnasium, and an outdoor playground among other facilities.
