(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Police are investigating an assault which lead to gunfire on the northside of the metro.
Wednesday afternoon, police responded to reports of gunfire between two girls in a car and a group of people in a home in the 2100 block of 23rd Street. The two juvenile girls were arrested. Police found a gun and drugs in their vehicle.
The police are also speaking with the assault suspect who fired back at the girls.
No one was injured by any gunfire.
