Retail Shipping Delays Could Impact Iowa Holiday Shopping

(Undated) -- Retailers around Iowa are still seeing supply shortages and delays heading into the holiday shopping season.

Transportation experts say those same stores will pay more to make sure that stock gets here in time.

"But I also don't think on Black Friday [you're] gonna go and get a 55-inch TV for $299," says Mark Steinbach, Station Manager for Midwest Express. "I don't think you're gonna see that type of reduction in price."

He says these companies typically ship via ocean, but are now flying products into the country, which is five times more expensive.
