Iowa flags to fly at half-staff in honor of Colin Powell

(Des Moines, IA) -- Flags in Iowa will fly at half-staff this week in honor of former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Governor Kim Reynolds issued the order today following Powell's death. The order is effective immediately and is in place until sunset on Friday. President Joe Biden had issued a similar order for federal properties.

Powell died Monday morning due to complications from COVID-19.
