Cedar Rapids Lifts Boil-Water Advisory for NW Part of City

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The City of Cedar Rapids is lifting its boil order for people in the northwest part of the city.

City leaders say all samples and tests have come back as safe for consumption.

They say it's a good idea to clear out your pipes by running cold water for about five minutes. You can expect cloudy water and spurting and hissing sounds as it starts to come out.

They say it could take up to two days for the cloudy water to clear up, but it is safe to drink and use.
