Iowa's Longest-Serving National Guard Member Retires

(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa's longest-serving National Guard member is a civilian for the first time in decades. Steve Swisher retired from the National Guard earlier this week after serving for over 44 years. He enlisted in Council Bluffs in 1976. He was honored with a ceremony on Veterans Day.
