Less Than Half Of Nebraska School-Age Students Proficient In English, Math

(Undated) -- Less than half of school-age students in Nebraska are proficient in English language arts and math. That's according to a report from the Nebraska Department of Education. It says 48% of Nebraska 3rd-8th graders and 11th graders are proficient in English language arts. Forty-six percent are proficient in math. Omaha Public Schools students fare much worse than the statewide average, 28% in English and just 20% in math. The full report can be read here.
