(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Cubs are being sold for the first time in over twenty years.
California-based Endeavor is buying the team through a new organization, Diamond Baseball Holdings, from current owner - Michael Gartner. Gartner is currently the co-owner of Big Green Umbrella in Johnston and is a former president of both NBC News and The Des Moines Register.
The team last traded hands when Gartner bought the team from the family of Ken Grandquist in 1999.
