(Des Moines, IA) -- The retrial of a Des Moines man accused of triple murder ends with a guilty verdict. On Monday jurors found Marvin Esquivel-Lopez guilty of three counts of first-degree murder. He’s accused of killing Rossibeth Flores-Rodriguez and her two children at a home on Day Street back in 2019. Esquivel-Lopez’ first trial ended in a mistrial earlier this year after jurors failed to come to a conclusion on the murder of Flores-Rodriguez’ children. Esquivel-Lopez claims he watched Flores-Rodriguez kill her children, then he killed her in self-defense. He'll be sentenced to life in prison at a later date.
