First-Time Home Buyers Struggle in Current Housing Market

(Undated) -- The National Realtor's Association says the prices of homes continued to jump double digits last month making it increasingly difficult for first time home buyers.

Emilie Walsh with Keller Legacy Group says most of the people buying homes right now are in the baby boomer generation with more experience buying homes.

However, while this generation looks to down-size, there is a lack of inventory and options.

Down-sizing means they are competing with first time buyers on inventory.
