University of Iowa Extends Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz's Contract

(Iowa City, Iowa) -- The University of Iowa is extending Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz's contract.

Ferentz contract now extends through the 2029 season. His previous contract had been through the 2025 season. He'll be paid $7 million dollars per year under the extended contract. Ferentz has been the head football coach at the University of Iowa for 23 years and is currently the longest-tenured coach in NCAA FBS Division I football.

Ferentz holds an overall record of 178-110 as head coach, including 9-9 in bowl games.
