(Iowa City, IA) -- Iowa Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz says his personal advisory committee is not disbanding.

In a letter sent to players' parents, Ferentz says he dismissed the committee after multiple people reportedly wanted to get other voices in. Ferentz says a new lineup will consist of recent players, with a few outside voices as well.

The committee was originally formed in the summer of 2020 after reports of racial inequity within the program. Ferentz recently signed a contract extension through the 2029 season, which pays $7 million per season plus bonuses.
