(Ankeny, IA) -- Face masks will continue to be optional in the Ankeny School District. The Ankeny School Board voted to drop its mask mandate in December and upheld that decision Tuesday night. The board also added to the district’s mask policy Tuesday. It voted unanimously to comply with federal disability education act guidelines and make masks required for some students in specific situations.
