Des Moines Art Contest To Feature Local Artwork Along Corridor Bike Trails

(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines art contest is giving local artists a chance to showcase their artwork along bike trails in the metro.

The Bike Trail Art Corridor program, created by Des Moines Parks and Recreation, is looking for digital art submissions. That can be pictures of paintings, drawings, or sculptures, as well as graphic design, multimedia, poetry, and more.

To apply, artists must be 18 years or older, and live in Des Moines. The submission deadline is 4:59 pm on February 18th.

Judges will select 8-10 pieces to showcase at the end of the contest. A $300 prize awaits the lucky few to be selected. The artwork will be installed in June 2022.

Those interested in participating are asked to review and follow official rules. The following forms must be filled out and emailed with your submission to DSMparkplanning@dmgov.org.
