Tangier Shrine Circus Again Headed To Omaha/Council Bluffs

After missing a year due to coronavirus, the Tangier Shrine Circus returns.

A news release says there are five public performances, with a new circus producer, new ringmaster, new acts, and a new format for the Circus Fun Fair.

In recognition of the covid impact on families, ticket prices have also been reduced.

The event will be Friday, Feb.18th through Sunday, Feb. 20th at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, the sixth year the venue has hosted the circus.

Performances are:

• Friday, Feb.18th at 7 p.m.

• Saturday, Feb.19th at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

• Sunday, Feb. 20th at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

“We really missed having a circus in 2021, but we took the opportunity to reinvent the experience,” says Circus Chairman and Shriner Jim Turpen. “The Shrine Circus of Thrills is designed to delight fans of all ages, from 1 to 91, with an exciting opening light show and featuring performers high in the air and in all three rings below.”

General Admission tickets are $15 each. Reserved seats are $20 and $25, depending on location.

Tickets can be purchased without fees at the Mid-America Center box office.

In addition, general admission tickets are available for purchase without fees online at TangierCircus.com, at the Tangier Shrine Center, 2823 S. 84th Street in Omaha, and at all Omaha/Council Bluffs-area Hy-Vee locations.

Groups interested in purchasing tickets can contact the Tangier Shrine Office at 402-392-0404.
