Quite A Weather Contrast From A Year Ago

The Omaha Office of the National Weather Service reminds us that a year ago, much of the U.S. was in a deep freeze and suffering from one of the strongest cold air outbreaks in recent memory.

They are now focusing on how conditions are looking much better this year.

They say for most of this week, high temperatures in the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro area will be 20 to 60 degrees warmer than the same week a year ago.

WOWT 6 News Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord forecasts highs Monday in the upper 30's with sunshine, with a dramatic rise in temps for Tuesday.
