Biggest Fire Danger Risk South And West Of Omaha Metro

The Omaha office of the National Weather Service says a "Red Flag Warning" has been issued for parts of southern Nebraska and northern Kansas for Tuesday because of extreme fire danger.

Gusty south winds and low relative humidity could combine for rapid fire spread and make controlling any fires that start very difficult.

This is mainly for areas with dry grass or dry cropland.

The rest of the area will see "Very High Fire Danger."

Use extra caution with disposal of smoking materials, and avoid driving in or parking in areas with dry grass.
