New Information On A Former Nebraska Prison Warden Facing Charges

Court records indicate a former assistant warden in the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services is accused of using a burner phone to communicate with an inmate who had a contraband phone.

The court records show 45-year-old Sarah Torsiello is accused of using the burner to speak with 37-year-old Terrell Thorpe, who is serving life in prison for a 2005 double murder out of Omaha.

Investigators say Torsiello confessed to a relationship with Thorpe.

Torsiello is facing three felonies, including the sexual abuse of an inmate. She immediately resigned upon her arrest by the Nebraska State Patrol.
