Should the US buy oil from Venezuela in attempt to keep prices down?

President Biden has steadfastly refused to stop buying Russian oil.

He has refused to allow oil companies to drill AND he has refused to green light the Keystone XL pipeline.

So what is considering doing? Buying oil from another ruthless dictator, Maduro of Venezuela!

Senior US officials are in the country right now discussing lifting sanctions and opening diplomatic relations.

The move sent Florida Senator Marco Rubio to Twitter. "Joe Biden using #Russia as an excuse to do the deal they always wanted to do anyway with the #MaduroRegime," he tweeted yesterday morning. "Rather than produce more American oil he wants to replace the oil we buy from one murderous dictator with oil from another murderous dictator."

With oil at astonishing highs right now, investors appear to be dumping stocks and buying commodities as speculation soars that $200 oil will be a thing. What that will mean for you and me who just want a tank of cheap American gas like we had under Trump, who knows.

Buying from Venezuela I do not believe will bring prices down at all by the way.

So should the US buy oil from Venezuela in attempt to keep prices down?
