NWS Adds Four More Tornadoes To Iowa Outbreak, Bringing Total To Ten

(Undated) -- The tornado count from last weekend's outbreak in central Iowa is now up to ten. The National Weather Service recently confirmed four more tornadoes from Saturday's storms. The worst was an EF-4 that went through Winterset, killing four family members plus two other people in Madison County. It was the earliest in the year an EF-4 has ever been confirmed in Iowa. It was also the first EF-4 to touch down in Iowa since 2013. In total seven people died during the outbreak, the deadliest in Iowa since 2008.
