OMAHA, Nebraska-- A 17-year-old boy is facing a number of charges in an early morning property destruction spree.

Omaha Police say it happened in the area of 82nd and Hascall Streets.

They say officers were called just after 6:00 a.m. Tuesday on reports of five or six juveniles damaging property.

Officers found five trash cans on fire, tires slashed on 30 vehicles and a burglary at the Cake Gallery where most of the inventory was damaged, and cakes thrown against the windshields of nearby vehicles.

The teen was booked into the Douglas County Youth Center.

Omaha Police and Omaha Fire Department Arson Investigations Unit are still investigating.
