Two Die In Fiery Southwest Omaha Crash

Police investigate a double fatal crash between a pickup and an SUV that happened around eleven Thursday night at 192nd and F Streets.

Investigators say two unidentified women in an SUV died.

Police say the investigation revealed an eastbound 2017 Ford F250 pickup entered the intersection and struck a southbound 2018 Nissan Altima SUV.

After the collision, both vehicles came to rest on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Investigators say the Nissan became engulfed in fire after the crash and two people inside it were declared deceased on scene by Omaha Fire paramedics, who took the driver of the Ford to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police identify the Ford driver as 21-year old Zachary Paulison of Omaha.

They say Paulison is being treated for back and chest fractures.

Neither the driver nor the passenger of the Nissan could be identified at this time.

Investigators say alcohol use and high speed are being investigated as possible factors in this crash.

Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies also responded to the scene.
