Man Arrested For Fatal Cedar Rapids Nightclub Shooting

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids police say they have arrested a suspect in the deadly shooting over the weekend at Taboo Nightclub & Lounge in downtown Cedar Rapids.

Police say Timothy Rush is now in the Linn County Jail and is facing five charges, including second-degree murder, willful injuring causing serious injury, reckless use of a firearm causing serious injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Cedar Rapids police have not changed their previous information believing there were two shooters in the attack.

Police are also identifying the two people who were killed in the shooting. Michael Valentine and Nicole Owens were killed, ten others were injured. No update has been provided on the victim said to be in critical condition.
