(Des Moines, Iowa) -- The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden will open two new gardens this Memorial Day.

The new gardens will feature Iowa's native plant life. One will be named the Hiller Rain garden and display Iowa plants that grow in wet conditions. The Founders Garden will feature prairie grasses, wildflowers, and other plants that thrive in drier environments.

The Botanical Garden will also reveal a new statue to honor former mayor of Des Moines Tom Urban.
