(Iowa) -- Iowa's unemployment rate continues to drop.
The state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.3 percent in March, down from 3.5 percent in February. That's also down more than a full percentage point from March of last year's 4.4 percent. The retail trade industry added the most jobs in March, marking that industry's sixth consecutive increase in jobs. The leisure and hospitality industry unexpectedly lost jobs in March.
Overall, more than 1.6 million Iowans are in the workforce statewide, an increase of 10,000 from February and 39,400 higher than this time last year.
