The Omaha Police Department has been taking part in two national safe driving campaigns this month.
The 2022 "Drug Impaired Campaign" is underway and runs through Sunday, with a goal of keeping drug impaired drivers off the streets and roads.
O-P-D also took part in the "U Drive. U Text. U Pay" campaign.
It wrapped up on April 10th, and during that week-long effort, Omaha Police say officers issued 39 citations to drivers who were caught texting and driving.
