Nearly All of Nebraska Still Covered by Drought

LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Drought conditions are continuing to cover almost all of Nebraska for another week.

The new Drought Monitor Map from National Drought Mitigation Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln shows 99 percent of the state in some level of drought or abnormally dry.

The map shows the worst drought continues to cover more than 20 percent of the state--from Northeast, through Central, and into Southwest Nebraska.

There's still no drought in the eastern halves of Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, and Richardson counties.

This week's Drought Monitor Map reflects conditions measured across Nebraska through Tuesday, April 26th.
