An Omaha Stabbing Incident Leads To Arrests

Omaha Police make two arrests in a cutting near 30th and Fort Streets late Wednesday.

Officers say they were called to a disturbance in a parking lot and found 34-year old Rashawn Thompson with a stab wound.

Omaha Fire paramedics took Thompson to an emergency room, where he was treated and released.

Officers then took Thompson to downtown Central Police Headquarters for questioning.

They say they determined Thompson and 55-year old Andre Gill were both suspects in a number of assaults during the disturbance.

Police say Thompson was booked into Douglas County Corrections for Assault by Strangulation, four counts of 3rd-Degree Assault, and one count of Domestic Violence Assault.

Gill was booked for Terroristic Threats, Assault by Strangulation, 2nd-Degree Assault, and two counts of Possession of a Weapon by a Prohibited Person.
