The College World Series teams are in town, completing their trips on the "Road to Omaha;" and today, they have been stepping onto the famous diamond at "Charles Schwab Field Omaha" for open practices including taking some infield and batting practice, meeting the news media, and fans.

It is "Opening Celebration Day" at the CWS with free activities around the ballpark in North Downtown Omaha.

The parade of teams, opening ceremonies, and fireworks are this evening.

Glancing across the field after his team's workout was veteran Oklahoma pitcher Ben Abram, who told KFAB Radio News, "being in the postseason is special; so I'm just trying to take it all in and enjoy it." Abram added, "you know, at the end of the day, our goal is to bring home a championship, so gotta find a way."
