Drowning at Saylorville Lake Under Investigation

(Polk County, Iowa) -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office is reporting an accidental drowning at Saylorville Lake.

The Sheriff's Office says it received a 9-1-1 call around 6:30 Thursday evening about a man struggling while swimming, going under water, and never resurfacing. Emergency crews responded and found the man's body still under water around 8pm. So far, the drowning is being considered an accident. The victim is being identified as 26 year-old Maximino Jarquin-Garcia of Ankeny.

A further investigation into the drowning is ongoing.
