(Moline, IL) -- The City of Moline Public Works Department is announcing their first-ever "Name a Snowplow" contest.
Submissions are due on August 13th. City staff will narrow the names to 20, followed by a vote during the City of Moline's 150th Birthday Bash on August 27th.
The top 8 entries will become names of the city's main route snow plows. Submission can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or messaged through the City of Moline Public Works' Facebook.
Rules for the contest are the following:
- Name must be 15 characters or less
- Name must be one to two works only
- Name cannot include your name or a business name, but puns on names are ok! (Ex: Betty Whiteout or Darth Blader)
- No profane, inappropriate, or offensive language
- HAVE FUN! Get creative!
