Nebraska Tax Revenues Surprise Forecasters

Nebraska tax revenues for the fiscal year that ended in June are 30 percent higher than expected.

The Governor's office says every month of the year, the state's revenues beat expectations.

The Nebraska Department of Revenue reports receipts were 56 million dollars higher than what they’d predicted in the month of June and nearly one - and - a - half - billion dollars more than what they’d anticipated for the year.

Surplus revenues will go into the Nebraska Cash Reserve Fund, bringing it to $1.69 billion dollars.
