Two Injured in Separate Shootings Monday Morning in Rock Island

(Rock Island, IL) -- Rock Island Police say two people are hurt after two separate shootings early Monday morning.

Police say the first happened a little after 1am in the 1500 block of 11th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, police found a vehicle that had been hit by gunfire and other evidence of the shooting, according to police. Investigators say shortly after, a 19 year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at an area hospital.

The second shooting happened about 10 minutes later at the 500 block of 14th Avenue, where police say officers found a 24 year-old woman with gunshot wounds in serious but non life-threatening condition. So far, no arrests have been made in either shooting.
