(Council Bluffs, IA) -- A suspicious death investigation is underway after a man's body is found in the Missouri River.
Council Bluffs Police say the afternoon of Saturday, August 27th, the Pottawattamie County Communications Center received a call from a boater going North on the Missouri River, saying that he had seen a dead body floating in the river. CBPD and the Council Bluffs Fire Department went to the area, were able to locate the body and bring it to shore.
Police say Council Bluffs Forensic personnel were able to identify the body, using fingerprints, as 30 year old Anthony Anderson from Council Bluffs. CBPD says due to this being an on-going investigation, no further information will be released other than it is being investigated as a suspicious death.
