(Omaha, NE) -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha is reporting historic enrollment numbers for the fall 2022 semester.

UNO is recording their tenth consecutive year of more than 15,000 students, including a school-record enrollment of 2,344 first-time students. 15,058 students are enrolled at UNO this fall.

"Our faculty and staff stepped up in a major way to build on a strong foundation and ensure that every learner we make a connection with is supported at every step of their academic journey – from their first campus visit to graduation – and I can’t thank them enough," says UNO Chancellor Joanne Li in a press release. "We owe it to all Nebraskans to continue to innovate our approaches to enrollment and retention, but we are incredibly excited to see what this historic class of new Mavericks achieve as part of this incredible campus community."

UNO also reports an 8% increase in first-year student retention rate, keeping 74% of the Fall 2021 semester's first-year student body.
