Omaha Fugitive Found In Fort Dodge, Iowa

(Webster County, IA) -- A fugitive from Omaha has been arrested in northern Iowa. Police found Cameron D. Carodine at a Fort Dodge, Iowa home yesterday (Wednesday). Carodine is a known street gang member wanted on outstanding warrants related to a federal investigation in Omaha. The Sheriff's Office says he jumped out of a second story window and tried to run from deputies and U-S Marshals caught him.

Carodine was checked out a a local hospital and booked into the Webster County Jail, then transferred to Sioux City to make his initial court appearance. Authorities say Carodine will then be taken to Omaha to face criminal charges.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this incident and criminal charges may be filed on those who helped Carodine in evading arrest in Fort Dodge. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the arrest by members of the United States Marshals Service (Northern and Southern District of Iowa) and the Fort Dodge Police Department K9 Unit.
