(Dyersville, IA) -- Plans for a youth complex near the Field of Dreams in Dyersville are moving forward after a ground breaking ceremony Wednesday.
Go the Distance Baseball, LLC broke ground on the site that will eventually include nine baseball and softball fields, a hotel, team dorms, and more. MLB Hall of Famer and Go the Distance CEO Frank Thomas was on hand to mark the start of the project. The ball fields, dorms, and hotel are expected to be finished next year, with further expansions expected by 2025.
