Iowa Republicans Have More Registered Voters Than Democrats

(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Secretary of State’s office's recent data shows fewer Iowans are registering with Democrats than Republicans.

The Republican party in Iowa has gained over 20,000 registered voters in the last year through September 1st, while Democrats have lost 15,000 registered voters during the same time.

There are a total of more than 1,800,000 registered voters in Iowa.

Iowan Republicans have about 4.5% more voters registered than Democrats.
