(Omaha, NE) -- The Omaha Farmers Market is voted the #1 farmers market in the state of Nebraska.
The Sunday Market in Aksarben Village won the honor as part of the 2022 National Farmers Market Celebration by the American Farmland Trust. The Saturday Market in the Old Market placed second in the state of Nebraska. Each year, the Farmers Market Celebration highlights the important role farmers markets play in communities across the nation while celebrating the vendors, staff, and volunteers.
“This is a huge honor for us,” said Kristen Beck, project manager for the Omaha Farmers Market. “Our vendors and staff work so hard every week for 24 weeks out of the year to make this market happen. This award is a testament to their dedication to the Omaha Farmers Market and how much the Omaha community loves our event!”
The Omaha Farmers Market is every weekend, rain or shine, from the beginning of May to mid October. The Saturday Market takes place in the Old Market from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM now through October 15th and the Sunday Market takes place in Aksarben Village from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
