(Lancaster County, NE) -- Over a million dollars worth of fentanyl pills are found during a Lancaster County traffic stop.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says around 2:45 Wednesday afternoon, deputies spotted a vehicle speeding on westbound I-80 in Lincoln, and pulled the car over. The sheriff's office says the driver, 39 year old Luis Salazar of Omaha, consented to a search of the vehicle. Investigators say during the search a backpack containing just over 13 pounds, or roughly 60,000 pills, of fentanyl were found.

The sheriff's office says the pills were marked "M30," which are fentanyl pills masked as Oxycontin pills. Investigators say if sold per pill, the value is over $1 million dollars. LSO says one pill contains enough fentanyl to provide 10 lethal doses.

Salazar was arrested for possession with intent to deliver narcotics. The sheriff's office says he is an illegal immigrant, who has previously been deported from the U.S. He is from Mexico and still has family there. LSO says their investigation determined Salazar was en route to York, Nebraska.
