Nebraska Unemployment Up Slightly, Non-Farm Jobs Still Increase

(Undated) -- Nebraska's unemployment rate is up slightly. The Nebraska Department of Labor says the September unemployment rate was 2.2%, up .1% from August. Nebraska's unemployment rate is still tied for 4th-lowest in the country. Although the unemployment rate went up, the Department of Labor says non-farm employment increased in September by 6,803 jobs. The Department of Labor says Nebraska has added 26,650 non-farm jobs this year for a total of 1,034,979. Education and health services added the most jobs in September, 1,286.
