Pottawattamie County Emergency Management in Council Bluffs says "Verizon Wireless" customers are being impacted by an outage of 911 emergency service.
They say in an emergency, Pottawattamie County Verizon customers should call 712-328-5737 and press 1 or call 911 from a non-Verizon phone number, until further notice.
Emergency Management says there is no indication of the cause, or an idea of how long service will be disrupted.
