Teen Dies In SW Omaha Interstate Crash

Omaha Police say an unrestrained teen driver dies in a one vehicle crash late Tuesday night on the I-L-Q on ramp to eastbound I-80.

Accident investigators say 16-year old Mauricio Solorio--Ramirez of Bellevue was declared deceased at the scene by Omaha Fire Department paramedics.

The investigation revealed that a car he was driving was traveling on the ramp at high speed when it went out of control and left the roadway, descending down a steep embankment, rolling several times.

The crash remains under investigation.

No other injuries reported;

That section of the Interstate reopened around 2:15 a.m.
