Bellevue Man Sentenced to Federal Prison on Child Pornography Charges

(Omaha, NE) -- A Bellevue man will spend more than a decade in federal prison on child pornography charges.

On Thursday, the US Attorney's Office announced that 38 year old Jacob Price was sentenced in federal court to 168 months’ (14 years) imprisonment for receipt of child pornography. There is no parole in the federal system.

Federal prosecutors say on November 9, 2020, Officers with the Bellevue Police Department were called to a Bellevue home. Once on the scene, officers were told that the reporting party found a video of a naked minor on a cellphone previously used by Price. Prosecutors say officers forensically analyzed the contents of the cellphone and located a video showing a minor getting undressed. The video showed Price covertly placing the cellphone in the minor’s bedroom for purposes of videoing the minor while she was naked.

Prosecutors say the cellphone also contained additional thumbnail images of unknown minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct that Price downloaded from the internet. After his release from prison, Price will begin a five-year term of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.
