Cedar Falls Police Arrest Man In Connection With Three Robberies

(Cedar Falls, IA) -- Cedar Falls police arrest a man in connection with a slew of robberies that spanned multiple days. Police say Giovonni Davis robbed two hotels and a convenience store from Sunday to this morning. Police say they were called to the Cedar Falls Hilton Garden Inn on a robbery around 4:00 a.m. but the suspect had left. They were then called to the Super 8 on another robbery where they say they saw a man matching the description of the suspect from the first call leaving the scene. Police say they chased the man down West Ridgeway Avenue, caught him, and took him into custody. Police say he then admitted to a separate robbery that happened Sunday at the Metro Mart at 103 Franklin Street. Davis is facing a number of charges including 1st-degree robbery and 1st-degree burglary.
