(Omaha, NE) -- A second 13 year old boy is arrested in connection to the September shooting death of 13 year old Lenny Rodriguez.
Omaha Police say Rodriguez was shot and killed near Park Ave and Shirley on September 28th. On Tuesday, OPD announced that a 13-year-old boy was booked into the Douglas County Youth Center for 1st-degree murder, use of a gun to commit a felony, tampering with evidence and possession of a stolen firearm in connection to the case. Another 13 year old boy connected to the shooting was charged with 1st-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and tampering with evidence on Monday. Investigators say that boy was already being held at the youth facility for another incident involving robbery, gun use and auto theft.
The case remains under investigation.
