(Lancaster County, NE) -- A Papillion man is killed in a Lancaster County crash.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says just before 5:30 Friday morning, deputies were called to the area of Highway 77 and Agnew Road for a single vehicle rollover accident. Investigators say 24 year old John R. Free of Papillion was driving his Dodge Ram 1500 northbound on Highway 77, just south of Agnew Road when the vehicle lost control due to icy conditions. The sheriff's office says the truck slid sideways north through the intersection at Agnew Rd and into the median, where it rolled several times.
LSO says Free was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries due to blunt force trauma. Investigators say Free was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor.
