(Des Moines, IA) -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa (BBBSCI) is getting a $12,000 grant from Variety - the Children's Charity.

BBBSCI CEO Bridget Cravens-Neely thanked the charity for their support, saying the money will benefit the kids by "introducing them to new experiences and discovering their full potential."

The funds will help the organization's Workplace Mentoring Program with purchases like new iPads, in addition to offering new activities for Littles and Bigs, such as visiting the Science Center or going to an Iowa Wild Hockey Game.
