Two Iowa Cities Rank in Campaign’s Rating of Cities For Inclusion of LGBTQ

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are receiving perfect scores for the Human Rights Campaign’s annual rating of U.S. cities for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people.

The score was calculated using factors like non-discrimination laws, leadership on LGBTQ+ equality, law enforcement, and municipality as an employer.

This is Iowa City’s ninth year in a row receiving a perfect score. Cedar Rapids improved its score to a perfect 100 after scoring 97 in 2021.
